One of the biggest moves the Dallas Cowboys made this offseason was re-signing star kicker Brandon Aubrey to a four-year, $28 million contract.

The deal made Aubrey the highest-paid kicker in NFL history and included a record-setting $20 million guaranteed along with an average annual salary of $7 million. The extension will keep him under contract through 2030.
On Friday, Aubrey spoke about the new deal and what it means to him, via The Athletic’s Jon Machota.
“I’m happy to have it behind me,” Aubrey said. “Happy to be able to stay here and play for a record-setting contract. It’s an awesome achievement, something that I never thought I would be able to say,” Aubrey said.
“I just wanted to have a job, and this locks me up for the foreseeable future and gives me that job that I wanted when I started this thing. I’m just excited to have a job and have it right here in Dallas where I grew up.”

Aubrey spent the last three seasons in Dallas, and he’s been one of the most reliable kickers in the NFL during that stretch.
As a rookie, he converted 36 of his 38 field-goal attempts. In 2024, he made 40 of 47, and last season — when it felt like the Cowboys were in scoring range anytime they crossed midfield — he connected on 36 of 42 attempts.
For his career, Aubrey owns a field-goal percentage above 88% and also holds the NFL record for the most made field goals from 60-plus yards.
